My Name is Benjamin Parks from East Baltimore, Maryland (31). Studied Graphic Design at The Art Institute of York, Pennsylvania which I graduated in 2014. I started around 2013-2014 with just an idea to build a clothing brand. When I graduated in there was nothing stopping me. I started designing t-shirts and sketching sneakers everyday. Of course I was looking for a job in graphic design at local locations like Under Armour and Black & Deckers but wasn't successful because of the strict guidelines. but that didn't stop me. I started doing freelance and worked at Royal Farms until I found something better. After the first year 2015-2016 I decided to work on investing in photography equipment because it seemed liked that was my next step seeing that everyone need photography almost everyday. So I continued doing photography and graphic design freelance work but I slowly stopped doing so much graphic design because people didn't want to pay me for what I am worth. I also notice it has became tough to get photo gigs because no matter how good I was, people get more gigs by references but I continued anyway because art is my passion. The beginning of 2017 I wanted to get some of my branded t-shirts in stores. So I went around local stores to ask. I came across one store that would let me but I need more product and she also gave me some information about this big manufacturing event that happens every year in Las Vegas but I needed a business license. Mid 2017 I was getting my business things in order like trademarks and business license and I planned a trip to Vegas. The event was amazing! Now I have plenty connections. From that event I found out about a few more events and went to the next one in 2018 in New York City. This was the first time I ever been to New York... To Be Continued .....
